Equine Therapy
Dr. Broadbent is certified Equine Massage Therapist (Delaware Valley University, 2012) offering clinically proven, best-in-class therapeutic equine massage, in collaboration with equine professionals to meet your horse’s unique and evolving needs.
The power of touch. Dr. Broadbent uses her hands to feel muscle tension in a horse. Equine massage therapy is a non-invasive, highly effective, and very powerful therapy. She customizes the massage to each individual horse. A massage session covers the horse’s full body from head to hoof. Equine Massage Therapy uses a variety of massage techniques and strokes to stimulate blood flow to different areas of the body. This encourages blood flow and brings in oxygen and other nutrients, at the same time removing lactic acid build up and eliminating other metabolic waste from the body. This encourages injured muscles to heal, and healthy muscles to stay flexible and pain free.
Benefits of our therapeutic equine massage sessions: Increased mobility and muscle tone. Injury prevention. Reduced inflammation. Improved circulation. Faster recovery.
Time with a Horse
To be in the presence of a horse is to be fully present in the here and now. Clients benefit from this mindfulness practice, experiencing peace, quiet time of reflection, clarity, stress relief, joy, gratitude and love.
The sessions do not involve riding.
